Hi forum-mates,

Unluckily, I have a B1 visa issue so I have to cancel my CS exam.

Please tell me how I can get a refund of my CS exam application after cancellation.

Thank you.

but visa B1 is a tourist visa so you can enter USA when you have book your test and then return to your country, it is not a requirement for the exam to be a resident

i am a FMG and i took my exam with my B1 visa with no problems.

Thanks kissichavez,

But my case have not proved strong ties to my homecountry, especially I have no job for USMLE review for 1 year.

Therefore, I have to find a small clinic for several months before re-apply B1 visa.

Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Even if you can't find a job at a clinic, try somewhere as long as you can show that you have a job and have been working and get a letter from your employer stating that you will return to work after the exam. Make sure you have a bank account in which you have been putting money in and it should be atleast active for 4 months.
If you are married then you can say that your spouse will not be accompanying you.
I know the process can be difficult sometimes but reapply.
Otherwise take a tourist visa as a family and say you all are going there for a vacation. When in front of the visa officer, be confident and smile and be cheerful even if they don't respond with the same enthusiasm.
Best of luck. smiling face

You can always reschedule your test date. CS has a 1 yr eligibility period. Go online everyday and see if you can find a date that is suitable for you. If your eligibility period is about to end, try writing to them about your problem or calling them.
