Does anyone remember the question form NBME form 5, section 4, which showed a toddler’s finger with vesicular lesions? Here is the question:

A 2-year-old boy developed vesicular lesions (picture showed lesions on finger) 2 days ago. Which of the following best describes the virus causing the lesions?

A) Double-stranded RNA, icosahedral, envelope present
B) Double-stranded RNA, helical, envelope present
C) Double-stranded RNA, icosahedral, no envelope
D) Single-stranded RNA, icosahedral, no envelope
E) Single-stranded RNA, icosahedral, envelope present
