Hi,
it seems to be really helpful and easy to study with a partner. That way you can practice the talking, the exam, the closure etc.
What to do when I study by myself?
Is there a good interactive website besides UW that you recommend? Or do you go over FA over and over again?
Please help me with this.
Thank you!

grin
*laughing* That´s cute!

I practised with my brother (not a doctor).. And, i actually found it to be a lot better than practising with someone who is preparing for the exam as well, 'cos the latter takes a lot more of time..

My SP at home is my son's Padington Bear.

wink
But the bear doesn´t talk back.
I´m gonna practice with my husband, but unfortunately he´s at work a lot.
Well, I tried sitting there, just talking to myself, but maybe I should put my Winnie the Pooh- bear in front of me, so I can practice the hand shaking and the eye contactwink
You guys are funnygrin

  #7

lol, funny stuff. Where and when are you taking your exam Anne?

It's true that stuffed bear doesn't talk. But on the real test, SP doesn't talk much either. Most of time, they just answer 'No'. The most important thing is whether or not you ask SP certain questions. So, after you are gone from the examination room, SP click the items you asked on the checklist.
My friend even suggest me use a pillow. You see, pillow, Teddy bear or SP is no much different for the purpose of practice. The key issue is: Do you have mental frame about that case?

If i worked as an SP, i would not be too amused reading this.. grin Pillow = teddy bear= SP.. lol

Oh, no. Now we compare the SP to a pillow. That´s hilarious!
@white rose: 7/31 in Philly. And you?
Good luck and strong nerves for the conversations with the stuffed animals!

The voice recorder/ dictaphone might help, to record yourself, and later on listen to yourself, noticing not only medical mistakes, but also the speech pattern with pronunciation, unintentional gaps, .....

heyy Anne, i took CS at chicago. i prepared for it alone. just went thru the whole ritual of entering and introducing and draping etc in my mind everytime i studyed a case from firstaid and usmleworld. i guess i missed some steps in the real deal but thats natural i suppose. i hope i pass though. i went into the exam with a 3hrs sleep and lived on coffee thruout the exam. around 7hrs in total wich includes the tutorial etc
