I am starting this thread today, as a leap of faith...I don't have the result for step 1 yet, and I must pass step 2 by october...I am also preparing the CS for august...
The material I am going to use:
Kaplan lectures notes(I hope to buy a last edition)
Crush step 2
Goljan pathology
Blueprints medicine
I will purchase UW 1 month into my prep...Good luck to all!

well, I did do 2 cases and 15 pages of crush...I guess I was too busy yesrterday, trying to get letters, MSPE etc...
So I have to make it up today:
Crush 85 pages
KAplan 100 Qs
FA 2 cases alone
UW 2 cases with online bussy
4: 41 AM , today is gonna be a good day, let's start out with crush until 7:30 AM

I had such and headache, I went back to sleep, and woke with an awful stomach ache...
Well I ate some bread and a banana, took a 500mg acetaminophen...

Well, I screwed up ...I spent the day chasing LORs.
I did manage to practice a few cs cases, improving my closure.
Today is a new day...a new opportunity to learn...
I will keep posted later about my progress.

I had a fight yesterday, well a small fight with a friend of mine and it took such a dimension...I am taking the week off, I'll talk to him in a week, we sorted things out, but I want to be in peace to progress with my work...
At the same time I am working on my personnal statement.

my day was bad enough with very little study
but tomorrow onwards get set go
u are doing a great job papio...
studying fr two is difficult
i think u should fix an hour or 2 daily for cs
so tht u l done with its preparation by aug
good u are starting with videos but peds and surgery are not worth watching!!
IM and gyne are great...thts wat i heard ....havnt listened to all of them
post ur progress daily so tht we can keep a tab on you....

Tonight 4 cases with patient notes and 1 chapter of crush...

I plan to do UW, Kaplan Qbank
along with crush and Kaplan LN internal medicine.
I don't have much time, I need to give the exam by october 31st...

I know working on your application is time consuming so just try to organize your hours and get those hours you need to commit to your CK Prep, you are a great student so just organize it a little bit. Good luck with your whole application process.

I have been doing Kaplan Qbank, it is difficult, I always pick the next next step instead of the next step...but I am progressing. I hope to do better this week.
today's plan: Kaplan internal medicine 30 pages, Kaplan 50 Qs...+ Kaplan again.

I want to do 2 3- weeks readings from now to september, and subscribe to UW for a month from sep 15 to october 15, and take a week to revise for the NBME around oct 22nd.
So for, I've only done questions...

No more excuse, no more delay...
So far I've read a few pages, and tomorrow is September 1st.
I've only done questions...and the score isn't good.
Now, I have to study every book in one week, starting with crush tomorrow...
along with 100 questions per day.
I hope to finish Q bank and Q book by the end of the months, and I'll take UW for 1 month in october...
Now, the big question , will I make it in 2009, I am still chasing LORs...
FOcus, focus, focus, I can still make it....
Now, I am taking a deep breath, I have to see a patient today, go to mass and then we'll see.

the reality is CK is not easy as I had expected...It might take less time than step 1, but I still have to put long hours...I thought this was behind me...
I still haven't received and answer for the observership...I am just praying everything is OK.
Yesterday, I accepted the idea that I may not pass CS...this is actually a relief, now I feel armed to retake it, if it is the case and I am putting all my energy in CK.
No more excuse, one block to go...
