Hi
Though I have been a silent viewer of this forum, I did not post any msgs till now. I am really worried if I can get interviews and by God,s grace can match................
My scores r
99 / 99 / cs passed (all in first attempt) / ECFMG certified and will take step 3 in august.
I finished OB/GYN residency in India. got very good LORs from there.
I am really trying my level best to get USCE but not successful till now.
now, can anyone please tell me if I can get good chances in match as I know USCE is very very important despite good scores and experience in my home country. In addition I need H1b visa...........
Please anyone reply.............
thanks a lot..............

Hi Soujisforums

No-one knows the chances of getting interviews. its not a straight forward formula
. If you search old posts, you will see that there are people with fantastic credentials who didnt get a lot of IVs and there are others who might seem to have less than stellar credentials who got more IVs.

You have great scores, you're already cerified, already specialized in ObGyn from home, so i think you've covered a whole lot.

Everybody(including myself) always believe that it's whatever they dont have thats the most important to programs (perhaps in your case USCE and visa).

I know that individually, great credentials doesn't necessarily mean peace of mind and everybody worries, but there's a lot of people (majority) on these forums who would love to be in your situation, so you might not get any sympathy for posting such questions with your credentials.

Wish you get so many interviews that you'll have to cancel some smiling face

thanks Naveed and Bolaji'for ur replies it was encouraging...
and Naveed I am sorry if i sounded like i want to get sympathy but I just wished to know the opinions of some of the members in this great forum as they might have more info or experience in such a situation

again thanks a lot and may God bless you

Actually, the "sympathy "statement was from me not Naveed, so i'll take that blame smiling face I didnt mean to make it sound as if you were seeking it, its just that its extremely difficult to have everything needed for this dreadful process and you mightnot realize it but u do have a lot in ur favor.
