Dear Everyone,
I checked oasis today and I found out that I passed!!!
alright guys, I promised myself that I will do everything I can in order to help anyone. so please post your questions or e-mail me: persianpari2004@yahoo.com

here is my exam experience:

I am an IMG(starting my 3rd year) , and I am an average student  . I took 3 months to prepare for this exam and I studied 12-14 hours per day in my school library.

These are the books I used:
Kaplan(I only used it for Path and Physio)
BRS Path
BRS Physio
BRS Behavioral Science (only High Yield stuff)
High Yield Neuroanatomy (I did not read kaplan neuro)
Lippincott Pharm
Lange Micro and Immuno (First Aid enough for micro)

alright, I will be honest with all of you, I did not have time to study any anatomy, embryo, histo, or
biochem.....so I just used First Aid for these subjects and I did all of kaplan Q-Bank questions.

questions:
KAPLAN Q-BANK!!!!(do all the questions and read all the explanations)
Kaplan Q-Book
Blackwell's step 1 free questions online
USMLE CD we got in mail
Kaplan Simulated CD

ok, when I came out of the exam, I was so dishearted because I seriously thought that I failed. I had bunch of pharm questions, micro was a lot too, and then I had path, physio, Neuro(HY Neuro is excellent book), and gross anatomy (lots of brachial plexus), I did not have any biochem pathway questions(maybe like 2), immuno was kind of hard for me........and a bunch of other questions that i had no idea so i had to guess......i had like 3 embryo and one histo.

The exam was very similar to the USMLE CD we got in mail, and I had 3 repeats too. But I thought the real exam was just a bit harder

Kaplan Q-bank: 68% (at the end i was getting above 70%)
Kaplan simulated CD: 57%
USMLE CD: 34,35,37

please e-mail me with any questions

thanks
pari

Pari, what do you think is the best for pharm, I mean is lippincott necessary, because all the concepts are in first aid, do you think FA is sufficient?
