Hello, I wonder what was your starting percentage of right answers on q banks before starting with your preparation? I have 3 months study time, did the free Blackwell LWW 350 question exam with only 44% right. A lot of guessing, things I had in med school but simply forgot. Do you guys think 3 months is enough when your overall medical knowledge is about 44%? I am aming for a 95 score. I have been studying for 2 months but not full time, did Kaplan notes biochemistry+ immuno and read some chapters of FA + BRS Path and Goljan. Thanks, Matt.

Thanks man, I really appreciate it. What I would like to figure out is, if its possible to raise a score from 40-45% to 70-80% within a few months? What were your starting scores before starting seriously with the preparation? Matt.

I think it is possible. I started in May with a 47% on a practice test. Last week i took another practice test and received a 68%. I am not taking my test until August. So I believe it is possible Just do your qbank, review right and wrong answer. Make FA your friend.

thanks I really appreciate your input, guys. @killer I have FA, Path RR+BRS + Robbins Q&A, Micro MMRS, Physio BRS, Behavioral BRS, and Kaplan notes. But I think less is more, so I try to stick with FA as main source. Matt.

I have started with Usmle World, getting 40%. But did only 4 X 48 questions. I hope raising the score to 70% + X on UW is possible within 2 months. Really frustrating...

Hi, If you are getting only 44% on that free bank, I did that and got over 60% and I failed the real thing, UW and NBME, I cannot say it enough, take a NBME test and spend the $45 dollars, do not be cheap in this, If you do not score over 400 on it then you may fail the real thing, this is no joke, I know after 2 times failing the real thing, you should not be guessing more then 30% of the time and getting over 60% right, on the USMLE for a pass you need to get 65% right, Understand guessing more then 30% of the time I would say is not ready and failing, this is my take on this now and my goal as well for the third time. Postpone if you need to, I wish I did.
