Do you have credit card? If you have it, you have the credit history...

If you do not have CC, open a bank checking account and request debit card... It is usually Visa or MasterCard.

You can use it as the Credit Card but amount of spendings will be limited to your savings on the checking account.

The faster way is by buying a travel pre-paid visa. It has more credit line than the regular pre-paid cards up to $1000 or $5000. Go to the bank that sell pre-paid credit cards (I bought it in National City Bank), it just takes minutes and the card is ready to go.

As was posted above, you could open a checking account but it will take 7 to 10 bussiness days to get your credit/debit card.

For both ways you always can manage your account online. Good luck!
