Hi friends, this is my first post in this forum. It seems that people here are helping each other in clarifyling all doubts about ERAS application. So, I think I should drop by, too.

(1) I don't have MSPE neither can I get it from my medical school as they have already refused to provide one. Instead, they have provided Dean's letter with just five sentences about my good character, and my graduation date n stuff like that. If I send Dean's letter instead of MSPE, will my application get hurt anyways?

(2) I am sure many IMGs may have same problem. And, what should I write in DSF, and ERAS application about that. For sending Dean's letter, can I still mention Dean's letter as MSPE in DSF? And for ERAS application, I have to select NO in option of sending MSPE by me or my medical school. Is that correct?

Dean's Letter still can be used in place of MSPE.
In your ERAS appln you say YES, you will provide MSPE.
In your DSF you say that you send MSPE
Your application will be OK without official MSPE.

If you do not have an MSPE ECFMG will create a neutral letter for you.Though never heard of sending of MSPE to college for verification better not to risk at this point of time

Mikky!
By doing that you will put your application in jeopardy. If you get caught you might be revoked from ever getting a job in the United States.shocked

for mikky and tylenol...copied from ecmfg.org

If you are unable to secure the MSPE from your medical school, you must indicate this on page 12 of your Common Application Form (CAF). A neutral placeholder letter will be provided in place of the MSPE. The placeholder letter will be provided to all of the programs to which you apply, and will state, “This is in lieu of an MSPE.” This will ensure that your application will appear as complete for those programs that require an MSPE before considering your application.

when they r giving u option...y u wana make a fake one
