can i use the old lors which were verified by ecfmg last year and assign them for programs this year? can't go and do a lor hunt again......

it used to be possible because that is what i did last year and i matched. send them to eras to be scanned today. that way, it wont be long before they are scanned. if eras rejects them, then you know you have no choice but to get a new one.

thanks tolito....one more question......i'm yet to apply for eras token.......do they still have the old electronic documents with them? in that case i can simply assign the documents for programs.......

They will have only your MSPE, transcript and photo... Nothing else...
LORs are had to be re-sent...

I sent three waived Lor's last time , those will be in their records or deleted??!!! because i'm planning to use them this year,

All of them are already deleted...
Go get new ones...
The only stuff you can reuse is MSPE/Dean's Letter, your transcript and your photo...

Is it too bad to use letters dated from July 2006? The writers are very busy, I wouldn t like to be bugging them again... But I like the letters a lot!
Is there a deadline for the LORs to be sent to ERAS?

Arlete,
there is no deadline, and you could send them today, or might want to send by the middle of August so they are scanned by Sep 1.
As for the date, year of 2006 seems to be quite far away... If you think that bothering the LOR writer will create unnecessary problems, then you try to send the old ones... But, if they have drafts of the LORs, or you have them, you could juts ask your writers to re-print the letter with a fresh date... Or, just type down the text of the existing LORs on blank MSWord page and send them to the referees to re-date, re-print and re-sign...
