Hi all I am doing externship in psych.the problem is that doctor who's my supervisor does inpatient only and in 3 diff hospitals and is done in 5 hours.question is..is that enough just the inpatient or should i start looking for outpatient experience somewhere because i got little time.

I am confused with your question. Can you try to re-phrase your qn? What is done in 5 hr?
Do you have only 5 hr of externship?

well its 5 hr daily externship for 2 months.but my q is that is inpatient exp sufficient or shud i look for outpatient exp too.

I think it's more than enough for your LOR writer to make his opinion about you, and write about you in his LOR...

It's enough to count as USCE and to get you a US LoR. When Programs look for USCE, I dont think they specifically look for inpatient/outpatient experience. Besides, what's more important is the time you actually spend with that doctor, the more it is, easier it'd be for him to write you a good LoR.
