I am unable to upload any pics. Perhaps some of you recall this question. It is accompanied by three graphs depicting cardiac output in elderly men and younger men. The question stem is as follows: The graphs depict the relationship between cardiac output and heart rate, end-diastolic volume, and stroke volume for healthy elderly men and healthy younger men. Based on the results of the studies, which of the following age-related anatomic changes contributes to well-maintained cardiac output in the elderly men? A) Dilated ascending aorta B) Increased coronary collateral circulation C) Increased number of myocytes D) Left ventricular dilation E) Left ventricular hypertrophy
