Paper copies or scanned printouts?

Hi folks.

Do the Transcripts and MSPE that we send to ERAS need to be original copies? Or will printouts of scanned documents be enough. At present, I've got scanned copies sent to me by my med sch. Do I need to ask them to send me hard copies via postal mail?

Transcripts to ERAS should be copies not original. I dnt think scanned or photocopied makes any difference as long as they are copies of your original transcripts...ERAS also has stipulations on the kind of paper background on which the transcripts are copied. You can check the ECFMG website for that.

Just make sure that copies are notarized...

i am not sure bout details but i sent my transcript as copies and MSPE original...also i didnt get the copies notarised, none of it was a problem

hey guys..sorry if this has been answered but this query was posted in neuro match page.. ECFMG releases ur score trancript to ERAS right..?? u dont have to specially request it rigght..??

i thot i was sure but now a lil puzzled...

no u just have to say release transcripts on ERAS...u pay some money if i remember correctly

yeah i saw that option on the profile page which said put in ur usmle id.... and a bracket next to it with 'for release of usmle transcipt'....
i guess dat is it..

Ok, so they can be copies. But I need to check if they should be notorized. right?
