A patient comes to your office complaining of hemoptosis for the last week. The physician orders an X ray, which indicates nodularities in the right lung fields. An excisional biopsy is done, and small-cell carcinoma is found. The patient is quickly placed on chemotherapeutic agents. Which of the following statements about mitosis and meiosis is true?

A. The G2 phase involves checking DNA for errors.

B. In the cell cycle, most cells spend the majority of time in mitosis.

C. Mitosis involves semiconservative replication, and DNA is typically circular.

D. Most epithelial cells remain in the G0 phase.

E. Reverse transcription plays a significant role in DNA replication.

 most epithelial cells remain in G 1 phase .
What about other options ??

  #4

In a 16 hour cell cycle 7hrs is spent in S phase, 5hrs in G1, 3 hrs in G2 and 1 hr in Mitosis

prokaryotic DNA is circular ,eukaryotic DNA is linear.
prokaryotic DNA implicates binary fission(mitosis is probably semiconservative replication like DNA)
