( i do not , do not, mean that in a rude way). but sometimes, we know what's best for us, but we tend to think we are above that, and can get away with taking the back road.
For instance, I think I can study in my room, alone.

So now I have made a rule, that I willl study anywhere but my house. And I am desperately trying to encourage a classmate to be my study buddy.
I suggest going to the library, that worked for me before. When you se others slaving away and stressing it, you feel quite foolish for just relaxing. it also helps to try and be around those who are studying step 1. seeing them deep in their books will end up worrying you-which is a good thing. the enemy of worry is lazy. if your lazy you are just trying to hide your worries, and just doing the exact opposite.
but keep in mind, when i mean be around step 1 takers, doesn't mean you have to engage with them. i notice there are those who help, those who stress you out, and those who simply make you feel like you will never be as smart as them. so watch who you associate with .
also parents, and authority figures work wonders. study near em, inffront of em. or even make em ask u some questions from the text you were supposed to be learning that day, you will feel quite foolish when you can't answer it. also, those people will be on your case, ensuring you dont get lazy.
ahh . i realize that perhaps you just simply can't concentrate for the moment, and have more drive than me

if that is the case-great

if that is the case, to concentrate, take a break ,relax a bit. perhaps get some ear pieces to block out unnecess noise, perhaps switch to different mediums of material to keep you active. i try to use audio lectures a lot, so i dont fall asleep. perhaps mix up your material reads with quizzes to change up your routine.
goodluck
