Is it compulsory that the LoR be signed in other ink rather than black? Will it be accpeted or rejected?

Well, on the LOR request form they indicate that the LOR should be signed in colored ink, i.e. any other than black... Problem is that most of American MDs DO NOT have colored-ink pens in their pockets since all order forms are signed only in black. So, if your letter is from US MD, then it should be OK...

If the letter is from a foreign MD, then official seal (always blue) over the signature will overcome problems with black ink signatures...

Thanks for your reply I really appreciate it. Its from a foreign doc as I reside in ME. Its signed in black but the seal is with blue ink. What do you say?

I say it's OK... Send it to ERAS in the end of July without fear...

It might be marked as a copy. No big deal.

Yes its officially confirmed that they will mark it as a copy. What does that mean? Does it lose credibility and I have to provide another one? or the same thing ditto in other ink than black?

It's not a big deal. It means that it was signed in black ink. My PD signs LORs in black all the time.

Thanks bbb for the help, so it means that I need not re submit it and the PD will accept it?
