Hi. Some programs on their websites, esp in Texas, say that they need the appliant's original med sch diploma, that too notarised. Is this likely?

I think they should mean the original meaning not just the translation.. Not sure though. But seems too much to submit an original diploma. don't thnik my university will issue one just like that. BTW, In my college, university attested diplomas or any other documents are treated as good as original.

No, they ask for original notarised PLUS translation if it's in a lang other than English. I obviously have only of copy of my original. How can I part with it?

I have never heard of such requirement. My residency just asked me to show them the original translation of my diploma before I can start residency, but they never required it as part of the application...
