I didn't see any free versions.

Why are you asking? Do you have a problem with my visits?

I have had nearly thirty years experience in microbiology. Some of the questions and answers that are given do not necessarily reflect what is going on in clinical microbiology NOW. I try to give practical answers and insights into what you experience in relation to microbiology laboratory orders and results in the real world. Microbiology is a tough subject. I am a technologist, not a medical student, so my take on microbiology is from a practical identification standpoint. Obviously, a physician's take on microbiology comes from a whole different perspective. We field questions from physicians and nurses on a daily basis about micro results and ordering procedures. If I can help anyone out there by any of my entries, then I will feel that I have helped you out. I do not pretend to know much about virology, as I do not work in that department. I also stay away from complex questions regarding diagnosis and treatment, as that is a physician's prerogative.

Being somewhat older than most of the forum members, I guess I am more set in my ways :-) on some things. This doesn't seem to bother too many forum members and I will be more than happy to answer any micro questions that are within my area of expertise. Sometimes you young people crack me up raised eyebrow but if you can put up with me, I'll try to help you all out the best ways I can.

Hope that answers your inquiry....
