Which state board is better for step 3 and why? CT or NY? Specially if one wants to live in NY.

i dont think it matters what state, u just hve to check the pre-reqs they have, whic is if they want residency or not.. and out of those states, like i picked AR and i have no desire to live in arkansas or anything i just know they dont require previous graduate medical education (aka residency) and so i can take exam under that state, but i will be taking it here in my hometown.. hope tht helps!nod

Nice thread, I have been wanted to ask this question for a long time now..even today I feel that it might look silly to ask this as many at my stage already know the answer...but since I do not know....we take this step3 under some state board what happens when we get matched for residency in someother state other than for which we took the exam?

I know this might sound silly...but please bear with me.

Thank you.
