Today I started my second reading for Step 1
- Read 70 pages anatomy
- Did 50 MCQ from Q book
That is less than I planned

 The brighter side ...
If u read those 70 pages with full concentration , then its the best u cud do on that day cos that topic(s) needed much more attention from u.. and it will stick in ur brain no matter wat for very long time...and may help u score invaluable 2-3 marks in ur real exam.
So since its ur second read ,u oughta feel comfortable with the topic to know that u mastered it.
and yeah here is the moment where i can say ....
Sometimes LESS IS MORE....

nice goin p4a99.....by the way....which book are you using for anatomy? i just got done reading kaplan for all 4.....histo, embryo, neuro and gross anat....im hoping its enough....willl do usmle world soon to see how much i learned

Kalyann, Thank you. Though I am concentrating, I do not feel I am mastering anything. I will see on assessment exams.
USMLEkiller, Thank you. I am using Kaplan LNs for Anatomy too. I couldn't handle HY! I am planning on doing UW later on too. Though I plan on using it as a learning and practice tool not as an assessment.

How could someone ever read anatomy in 2-3 days?  According to my plan I am supposed to read about 90 pages of anatomy a day to finish it in 5 days. Obviously that is not going to happen.

haha yea i had tried to do anat in 5 days as welll...but ended up being 8...ur at a good pace u definitely have a chance to finish on time....keep going!!!!

Unfortunately, today I suffered from food poisoning. I threw up like five times, had late but watery diarrhea, mild or no fever, little pain in a couple of joints, malaise and general weakness.
What was the most likely bacteria to cause my illness?

I ordered from a local restaurant. Pizza, macaroni, chicken and curry. After that I ate a lot of grapes (I did wash them, probably not good enough). Third world country.

I think it is staphylococcus aureus. Because of the intense vomiting and short incubation period.
I did not eat all of that. I ate a BIT from all of that.

Nontyphoidal Salmonella or Giardia L?
Or maybe you're right and it was Staph.
In any case, I hope you feel better soon.
