Hi everyone!!!!
I'm about to take Step 1 and I think I should get books for Step 2 (hopefully I'll be lucky with my Step 1sad). I really need your help with this matter because I have no idea what I should read to prepare for the Step 2CK....
And I'd like to know your opinion about my situation too, plz.... I'm wondering if I'd be able to apply for this Match with only Step 1????raised eyebrow And how long I should study for Step 2 CK? I'm IMG by the way.
Plz, if you have any advice or suggest., I'd really really really appreciate it!!!!nod
Thanks.

hey...what r u asking ab definitely?..u want to prepare for both step1 and ck simultaneousely?..or u ask ab ck-books that u want to revise for ur step1 prep?
anyway,it`s known that Kaplan notes is the most appropriate source of studygrin

as regards the match,I`m not that expert to advise but I hear that applying with just one step is a risk..it`s much better to apply while being fully ecfmg-certified

If anybody did apply for match with just 1step, plz tell me your experience!!!!???

Combo #1 for CK

Kaplan notes and DVDs(Fischer, Nephro and Psyquiatry)

Qbanks(mainly UW) if time and money permits do Kaplan qbank as well. Do as many questions as possible and start early in your prep.

NBMEs(Good correlation with real score specially form 2) and the free USMLE CD

Optional addicional items: FA and Secrets

Good luck!

hey its technically possible to apply with even 1 score..but its logical ...how many interviews will you get with that...it narrows ur scope alot...give it a shot if u want tho...

all the best..!!!!!!smiling face

Thanks ganesha! smiling face
Would that impact my next year match chances if I apply this year with only Step 1 and won't match? Do you know?
Thanks!

Bekind, this is the concept i learnt as a forum Guru:

Apply as early as you can with a complete application as possible! and nobody knows your chances as is the whole package that counts.
