Thanks MDP for the moral support..........I'll think about the plan B but Psych is really my passion. I only have 3 mths of experience in psych in my country but those 3 mths totally changed my complete outlook on life.
The internist I used to work for did see a lot of Psych patients (psych conditions in chronically ill patients.........or the more stable psych patients) and she has mentioned that in her LOR. Hope that will help some.
I'm not cut out for Family Medicine.........I simply cannot deal with kids. Even in school I struggled through out my Peds rotation. Internal Medicine maybe........but right now I'm pretty hell bent on getting into Psych.
How??????? I still have to figure that part out...... Edited by cartman on 06/28/08 - 07:44 AM

I guess you are MDP.........You're by far the most qualified.
If only you could write me an rx for Xanax to cope with the stress of this Match........Just kidding......
By the way.......is it tomorrow that we can start buying our ERAS tokens?

You're really lucky to be getting a Psych observership. I would give my right arm and a kidney for anything in Psych.
Just working on my application. Still have to contact some programs.

How come some of the psych programs have more than one categorical training options??????
for example.........
1) categorical versus PGY 1 categorical
2) Psychiatry categorical versus Psychiatry and Beahvioral Sciences categorical
I don't understand the difference. Don't know which one to pick

Two are psych related. The other two are not. I'm applying all of them to psych since I'm only going for psych. They may not all be psych LORs but atleast they are proof of USCE. Edited by cartman on 07/05/08 - 01:37 PM
