I do not why surgery forum is not alive. although surgery is competitive but I rarely see new posts there.

Well, people around know that matching in surgery is an extremely difficult challenge, and many do not even attempt to apply... But there are many silent observers of this section of the forum...

This temporary silence is probably due to the massacre of the 08 match. But not to worry, things will definetly become more active within the next few weeks.

I personally know 4 people that after couple of year in residency have decided to change to another specialty.
3 of them where women, because of children and family issues.
The guy say that he hated to be treated as an fragil x syndrome everyday 24/7 by the attendings.

MAKE SURE IS CATEGORICAL THE POSITIONwink

that is true i was looking for new thread but there is none but this,,, but other specialties are good enough to enjoy,,,
I m looking for those folks who matched in prelim last year,,,, at least they have to come out to give advice,,, they have to lead others,,, we will see what happen. That is true last year was horrible only few matched,,,, and most of them in prelim,,,,
