Hey guys, Count me too. I am a potential neuro applicant with few terms & conditions. My first choice is neuro and I will apply to neuro exclusively if I pass CS on first attempt ( Report date : Aug 6th..Fingers crossed. I am afraid I have pretty much screwed up the test.). But in all other cases I will apply to some neuro programs with IM as main target. Ganesha: you have excellent creds. Keep your spirit maintained and you're so there. btw what is EAD? I have been hearing this word so frequently but never tried to know what exactly it is. What I know is EAD means no visa issues. right? Mikky: Your step-1 score is great. and with CS already under your belt, I am sure you'll do as well as or hopefully better than step1 in ck. So GL buddy. Don't worry about USCE too much. I know it's better if you have it. No one would want to lose yuo for not having 1or2 months of O'ship. My idea about the neuromatch is that it's not as competitive as any of surgical specialties not even near to it. I think for a given university, neuro is less competitive than IM. The fact that only Universities (& some high profile comm.hospitals) have neuro. progs makes it competitive. So guys keep the confidence high. Hopefully we'll all make it happen. Has anyone planned about how to go about selecting prelim programs to apply. Prelim Med programs are quite competitive because AMGs targeting competitive specialties apply to prelims. So I am thinking of applying to community programs & to some of uni programs where I am applying for neuro also. Keep in touch guys.

hey deja_vu....all the best dont worry u will clear c.s for sure...we r rooting for you..!!! i had messed up my c.s too.. yeah i know our struggle will be more for applying to med prelim than neuro itself..but i am aiming for a certain highly ranked university and its gonna be REAL tough for me...!! yeah lack of usce should not be aprob for mikky..atleat decent universiies should know better... EAD is employment autorisation document... i am en route to my green card and this document helps me work in us with no visa constraints... lets get thru this match together ..i really value the support here..!!!
