Hi Asmi, I did center prep, not live lectires. that plus books you mentioned plus lots of mcqs was definitely enough for me. again, i heard people saying they did the same thing and failed, so it is difficult to say what's enough for a particular person. about center prep video lectures, some of them are just an audio version of whatever written in the book, and some are actually very helpful to understand and remember important principles. so what i am trying to say is that listening to lectures is not the most important thing, it just makes things easier, but understanding is crucial. if you have time and determination to do it on your own, you don't need any courses then. wishing you the best of luck!

Hi Liby, Web prep for step 2 is not so good, it's just 25 hours of lectures i think and notes are not included, only on-line lectures and q-bank. so, i guess if you have the notes and want to get highlights en everything, that might work. to your question about absolute musts for step 2, i wouldn't go there, i don't think any single book is an absolute must, and you can see it for yourself, when people using completely different sources get great results. for me it's about how you study as opposed to what you study. still, if i had to do it again for step 2 ( thank god i don't have to), i would skip blueprints, as the information in kaplan notes is more complete and usmle-oriented. would still do lots of questions, i would do few thousands of them, just to get in good shape reading, thinking, and dealing with problems fast. where can you get the stuff? same place you got your books for step 1 i guess. bookstores, on-line bookstores, e-bay, half.com, from friends, people who passed and selling their books. it should be pretty easy. hope this helps, good luck to all!
