Hi, I have a question that is maybe clear to others but I was thinking about this: Is it okay to have a LoR dated 2006? I´m asking this, because it might be very hard for me to contact this person, I think, he retired. Thank you!

It is always better have LORs dated this year... Or, no later than 2007, end of year...

Maki, I don't have a privilege to make rules on behalf of ECFMG/ERAS, so I don't know. I guess there is no strict rule, and you may be fine with what you have. Remember that the attached LOR request form should also be dated by the previous year to avoid any confusion. The common sense is that there is always something that you might want to have included in your new letter for the upcoming match season, to position yourself better than it was in the previous year... If your CV did not change anyhow, submit the LORs you have... Otherwise, I would recommend to obtain the fresh ones... GL
