If you are looking for pre-match try to schedule and finish your interviews by the end of December. Most programs stop offering pre-matches after early (and I mean very early)January because they have to submit some extra paper work and also submit their quota for the match by late January. So Nov & Dec is the time period you are looking for. The programs stop sending invitations at diffrent times. I personally received all my invitations in Sep and Oct, most IMG get the bulk of their invitations in that time period. After that anything that was in my mailbox was a rejection.

so i can give step3 end of september or october 1st week right...it wont be a problem in interviews?
and i should start scheduling my interviews by mid-october right?

Ideally you would like to have step 3 ready at the time of application. This is in case you want to be on H1. This would increase your chances to the max - programs will know that you are ready to go. If you do not manage to do it by that time do not panic! it's still possible to get H1, then try to have it ready by interview time. Especially if you have good scores on the previous steps - it's reassuring that you would be able to pass step 3 too.

hey caduceus......is there any advantage if you take step 3 before the interviews even if you dont require a visa??
medicus_81........how long does it take to score a 90+ in step 3???what are the books to be read??

it gives an edge among other applicants...
and moreover better to finish everythng when ck is fresh in mind...wana go back to home country after match for a month or two so dont wana have any exam on mind then
