Hi friends, I'm going to take exam for comming days. My exam is from 9AM to 6PM. I intend to drink a cup of coffee at lunch of my exam day for open eye and open mind. Should I drink like that at timely fashion? Does it cause any "side-effect" on my afternoon exam part? Please help me. Thanks.

It will help you if you are a regular coffee drinker and can handle the usual buzz that comes along. Give it a try rather a test run and then make your decision.

Thanks new_n_lost. Yes. I am a regular coffee drinker but just a shot in daily morning, sometime another shot at afternoon. I hope I will do it at lunch without "side-effect". Anyone are at the same boat like me? Please share your experience.

nice topic i was thinking about it too, might have a redbull instead, coffee makes me tremble together with nervousness (yes, i know..redbull might do the same). surely i will take some greentea with me, it provides long-term low-dose awakeness. i don't think anything is needed in the morning, i will be happy not to explode anyway, so it's definitely a good idea to have stimulants later on, maybe after the 4th/5th block. god bless us

Have you ever had mate? I don't like taste - plain bitter, but effect could be ok for occasion "yerba mate does contain caffeine, but some people seem to tolerate a mate drink better than coffee or tea. This is expected since mate contains different chemicals (other than caffeine) from tea or coffee. From reports of personal experience with mate, its physiological effects are similar to (yet distinct from) more widespread caffeinated beverages like coffee, tea, or guarana drinks. Users report a mental state of wakefulness, focus and alertness reminiscent of most stimulants, but often remark on mate's unique lack of the negative effects typically created by other such compounds, such as anxiety, diarrhea, "jitteriness", and heart palpitations." - from wikipedia

Hi guys, coffee makes my run to the bathroom and I shouldn´t have it anyway because I was recently diagnosed with GERD:-( In my Step 1 red bull helped me and boostered me for the last 2 blocks. Will definitely take it with me on July 1st for Step 2 :-) Good luck to y´all!
