My step 1 experience was named the same, now its step 2ck experience.
Today I took my test. Test was extremely lengthy and Tough. Questions were extremely long with vague statements, nothing like UW. Difficulty level was really high.
Test Day
Test time 9 am
But i reached at 8.25 and so i started test at 8.30. I took first and second blocks together, which were really tough. took 10 minutes break, took next two blocks together which were comparatively better but still tough. After that i took a 5 to 8 minutes break between each block which were better than first 4 blocks except last block.
Questions were really lengthy, sometimes it took me upto 3 minutes for 1 question. last 10 minutes of each block were really tense, had to get through many questions quickly. I got 2 audio visual questions, both chest auscultation question and both at the end of the blocks when i used to be left with hardly 2 minutes (but audiovisual questions were easy-simple diagnosis). 2 strange ecg questions. Lots of Diabetes, lots of psychiatry, lots of neuro, and gynae.
Now its time for me to pray.

Best of luck Ujk, u r right it is time to pray for the best score.
Can u tell me what were ur score in NBMEs and how many days before exam , u did NBMEs.

so UW is more straight fordward than the exam?
Did they ask the same concepts found in NBME and UW?
Did you took any NBME exam?

I took NBMEs offline, I got 84% in NBME 1 and 80% on NBME 3 (15 days & 10 days before exam). But NBME questions were really short as compared to the real exam, most of my questions were more than half a screen long with all sorts of lab values. UW concepts were definately tested but a general feeling is that 50 % of the time i was trying to make educated guess.
I got 40/42/38 on usmle cd on last day.

UW is comparatively more direct whereas the real exam for me was more twisted with long statements and time was a real limiting factor. When I used to do UW or usmle cd etc i was able to finish the block in 45 to 50 minutes but yesterday due to the size of the questions i was able to finish each block in the very last minute. I think one should try to practice reading fast as it is required for step 2 exam.

so in the real test even with all the ''garbage'' information the difficulty level was comparable to UW?
i mean is the real test = UW+a lots of garbage info?
or
UW+ a lots of garbage info + more difficult info?
