For all those that have taken the exam or heard others experiences do you know if the exam has ever had cross sections of the midbrain or pons? I am wondering if I should spend time on reviewing these. Thanks and good luck to everyone!

i had one on the pons and had to pick which cranial nerve they were pointing to.

they are always very basic, the typical diagram you see in first aid, where its a cross section of the brain with the medulla, the mid brain and pons, and they show you where each cranial nerve originates out of.

i remembe goljan also mentioning it was very high yield to know that.q

so its just the gross diagram or actual cross sections with like red nucleus and olivary nucleus?

just the gross diagram from what i had on my exam. Again-if first aid tells you its on it, read it. If they dont mention it, and you have a ton of other things to go over, look at it later.
