NBME downloaded Vs buying a new one

If you take NBME forms (downloaded) ,is it possible to score the exam and know the correlation (with the real exam) just from the number of questions you get right..?

Do they update their tests often?

they hvn't updated for quite sometime now.....it's all same atleast for the last 15 days.

u sure about that? so if someone gets 150/200....thats only 225....even after getting 75% right...they dont get 99....lollll

Formula is incorrect. Think around 230 = 79-80%.

why not just take at least one form online, they give u subject breakdown as well, not just a correlated score, it's good to tell u which subjects u are weak on (at least respective for that form).. and to do them in timed mode, u may be surprised at what ur 'correlated score' will be.. no way for sure to figure out what the exact formula is, so i would spend the $$ for at least one form to get the proper feedback, the real exam is just a mix of all the forms.. best of luck!

Do you know you even how the NBME scores the test. DOnt give me references or copy paste from others. Write what you think here or kindly hold your sarcasm cos let me break it you it aint that funny. raised eyebrow

Take at least one or two on line. I think it is worth it. If you do it off line you can never be sure about ALL your answers. + at the end they give you this nice diagram representing how you did on various systems and subjects. That would be helpful. So you can concentrate on your weak subjects (hopefully you do not have any!)

Thank you for the help guys.. I will definitely buy one/two NBME forms. But, since I already have the downloaded ones, I was wondering if there was a way to know the score correlations just from the no. of questions you get right and if doing these as well would be any good..
