I was applying for CS and surprised to find out that the dates before November are all gone!! I was so careless! I didn't pay close attention to the calender and thought the scheduling would be as easy as Step 1. But I do see several spots become available a couple of days before the exam date. Should I arrange for the exam like "two days" before the exam? Sounds ridiculous but it might be my only shot.

I had the same problem! It is shocking to see that you have to catch a spot months in advance, but I have noticed that 1-3 days before the exam a day becomes available, I was trying to reschedual mine so I monitored the calenders for a week. Sometimes the dates become available 1 week ahead, so keep checking and have a date in mind that you want to test on and as soon as it becomes available snatch it, because they don't last long. Good luck!

Thank you everybody for your info!! I found out a couple of days ago that there was a problem with my medical diploma so my application for CS was delayed. I fixed it yesterday and ECFMG emailed me the permit today (so efficient!!). After monitoring the calender for several hours, I secured a spot on Aug 11. Even though I want to take the exam in July, this opening is still much better than nothing. I felt so relieved. Thanks again and go Match 2009!!
