Hi friends, I gave my exam yesterday at LA, morning session. I had these mixed feelings of tension nervousness and a little confidence. I had arrived in LA the day before and stayed with my sister at her friends place, which was nearly 30 miles away from the centre. Dint have a good sleep but was all ready to finish the exam. Reached the centre a little before 8am. At the center many examinees were studying, but i was too bored, so i just waited for them to start. then thr was orientation, and unfortunately there was some technical problem so there were some computers which were not working and hence at some places we had to compulsorily WRITE the PN. but since i was supposed to write it anyways... it dint matter to me. The exam started at 9am sharp. I was a little scared when i saw my first case.... but these SP's act so damn well.... u start feeling your come to a real clinic. I was just off time only for one pt coz i had to ask soooooooo many questions that i cudnt finish the examination and cudnt even counsel . and there was one pt who was supposed to act defensive and he was doing it so well..... tht scared me to the limitI had no phone case. Have to thank ARLETE.... i used her technique, of writing LIQORAAA and PAMHUGSFOSS and the patients name in BIG CAPS also any other thing tht i cud possibly forget. Religiously washed hands with soap and asked the pt of their occupation during tht time. Was half done with the examination by the time they announced "5 min remaining" then counseled with closure asked if they had ne question shook hands and left.the space for PN was kind of insufficient and time just sufficient. I also had to strain to make my hand writin a little more legible The breaks were well timed and sufficient, and i had carried my own food.I had read the FA and practiced it thrice with doctors twice and once with my sister and brother in law, was of great help coz my sis knows the doctors behavior here and provided great feed back. had also done the UW once, though i think FA was sufficient and better. but the video clips in UW did help. all that i want to emphasise is that the Sp's act so well.... and it helps you relax.
and the exam is definitely better than step 1 n CK....(may be i should say tht after the result)... i hope i pass.... dont want to spend tht money again
shaking head.
ok i guess thats all tht i had to say... if i remember any thing else... i will add

First of all STOP DOING THAT, drnaik!! Do you enjoy making things tough for yourself?? Don't open FA anymore!!

Ok, after that bit of tough talk, I'll be gentle and say there's no amount of FA checking that can change your result. That said, I don't think there's a need to change your result, esp if you've performed the way you've written in your opening post. Be calm, think of your apps, maybe step 3.......... you'll be fine! nod
