Hi all, I got my result today...its a lot of relief to be finally done with these exams. I took my exam on 17th & 19th of May. Day 1 was really vague, got 5 Office and 2 ER blocks, the questions from Office were not too long but the choices were so framed that it was hard to mark the answer from more than one seemingly correct choices. Since I was prepared for it , thanks to the exam experiences in this forum, I didn't panic. I had a gap of one day wherein I got to practice few CCS cases. Day 2 had 2 Office & 2 ER blocks, there were more questions from ethics, coming to the ccs cases, 7 out of 9 patients responded well, out of the remaining 2, I was not able to diagnose a case and the other one wouldn't jus get better. Here is the study material I used---- 1) UW ---- eventhough I didn't get many questions from it, UW helped me get used to reading and answering vague questions. I did it twice and the third time did the incorrect ones. 2) Kaplan Q bank --- It had much longer questions but I would say its worth doing. 3) Kaplan Qbook --- It wasn't of much help but if you have time you can do it once. 4) Step 2 Kaplan notes --- I prefer step 2 notes over step 3 kaplan. 5) UW CCS cases --- did all the 88 cases twice, its very important to practice all of them in the s/w we get when we apply for the exam. I bought 'Crush' but after going thru couple of pages, didn't find it useful . I wasn't able refer Swanson's, Washington manual or any other material. I feel its better to revise your study mateial twice or thrice rather than reading lot of stuff once and not being able to go through it again. My average score in UW ---- 50% NBME score ( took it 20days before my exam ) ---- 400 I wish good luck to all those who are preparing for this exam, study hard and give in your best. Thanks.

Thanq so much and you too will be done with USMLE soon ... now coming to your questions.... 1)I am not doing residency, will be applying for this match. 2) I didn't go thru FA for step 2 and I'm not sure how far its helpful for step 3, since you said you'll be starting now, what I can suggest to you is to divide your daily study time in to 3 parts--- 1) 3-4 hrs for UW--- you can do 2 blocks a day and make a notes of all the important points, you can do kaplan Q bank once you are done with UW. 2) 1-2 hrs CCS cases--- solving ccs cases takes more time in the beginning but once you get the hang of it they get much easier. 3) 1-2hrs Kaplan step 2 CK notes-- Its better to discuss with a study partner as it feels boring to go thru it all over again by yourself. This is the schedule I followed, the mode of preparation varies from person to person, its better to come up with your own plan and work hard on it. Good luck.

Hey Hottie99 I believe 3 months is enough to ace step 3. It is better to take NBME a month before your actual exam. I didn't go thru any other material apart from the ones I posted ealier in this thread.
