What will happen if we remove carotid body? Any help? Thanks! Would we have increased blood pressure?

I think carotid body has to do with respiratory control. It is the carotid sinus that controls the blood pressure. Yes if you take out the carotid sinus then blood pressure should go up because of decrease afferents from the glossopharyngeal nerve to the medulla which will then increase sympathetic response

Are you referring to this question, medikus? I'm having trouble as well. I am thinking it's either A, B, or F, because the aortic bodies also sense low pO2, the stimulus for hyperventilation ... however, whether the response is the same, I don't know.... help?
