This is actually mixing two seperate things. When one dresses in clothing of the opposite gender and gets aroused then it is classified as a fetish. So it would fall under a transvestite fetish. But if the person feels they are trapped in the wrong body then it is a gender identitiy disorder. People with Gender Identity disorder do not get aroused while dressed in opposite clothing, why would they? This is akin to a woman becoming aroused while putting on her own clothes. I actually TA'd this at my school and to make sure people understood the difference. This questions is poorly phrased and actually mixes up classifications. Is this question an NBME question or one found in a book?
