The question was from UCV pathophysiology Vol 1, Case 49: Carcinoid syndrome HPI: The patient was admitted one year ago for complete lab and x-ray tests, but aside from enterobius vermicularis infestion, no abnormality was found. Recently, he has had a nonproductive cough along with chest tightness, nausea, weight loss and flushing of his face for no apparent reason. That is why I am not sure whether his enterobius vermicularis is a non-related history or related history to his carcinoid syndrome. Thanks for your answer.
