hello everyone.
today afternoon i've got a phone call from prometric to inform me that i wont be abalr to take usmle step 1 TOMORROW!! not even a 24h notice.
their reason was that ecfmg decide to close the center in my country this morning.
called to ecfmg they told me its prometric.
im honestly in shock, i was register for the exam on november 07 and study for it for 6 mons allready.
whom can i turned to?? if you know any person that can help me with that??
hallucinate as its sound, i still dont belive it, dont know what to do..nomatter what i wont take the exam tomorrow.
please help with the right center/person/even lawyer that can take this situation serious than the manager in prometric or ecfmg

Call ECFMG .
Lodge a grievance to the NBME.
In the mean while , Call Prometric... Ask them to escalate the call to the highest responsibel authority there... Put ur opinion forward...
Most of the times they are pretty customer friendly and arrange some thing or the other. I heard of a person getting a new permit in 48 hrs and he was all set to take the exam with an automated one month slot extension as a cushion from the ECFMG..He took it 10 days later though...
