According to UW it was Amiodarone as the drug of choice All A, B, and C CAN be used, but ONE of them is the prefered one, and I'm reading conflicting things from different sources.

There is one general rule..any ventricular arrhythmia that you're not sure about the treatment, go for amiodarone..But remember if you have a stable patient..save amiodarone cuz it comes with loads of adverse effects...One should go for procainamide..Lidocaine is very good for VF

When the hemodynamic status is stable, the patient is well perfused, and no evidence for coronary ischemia or infarction is present, then a trial of intravenous medication may be considered. If left ventricular function is impaired, amiodarone, then lidocaine, are favored over procainamide because of the latter drug's potential for exacerbating congestive heart failure. If medical therapy is unsuccessful, synchronized cardioversion (50-200 J monophasic) following sedation is appropriate. http://www.emedicine.com/med/TOPIC2367.HTM

Thanks. I liked the figure... Is it important to know all those details for CK or just the basics?
