Hello evryone
i have to say this a great website.
i took ck on 5/26/08 after studying for 5 month part time and 2 weeks full time. this is my second attempt got 176 on my last one last year in july. felt confident before the exam.
I studied OBGYN and behavoural science with Kaplan
I read bords and words twice
i read FA twice
Most of my study material was done thru UW very helpful.
i got
60 % on UW- great material
64 % on the new FA Q bank
i have done Kaplan Q bank in the past i did not do this time, because i think they are too easy and not very objective.
i had too much anxiety the night before the exam and probably sleptonly 3 hours, i got up @ 6:30 am went to the exam. here are the details of my exam experience:
First 4 block i think i did great i was familiar w/ material exept i run out of time for the las 2 qs.
block 5 & 6 dificult qs and i had problems w/focusing i was reading the same qs 5 times(maybe it was the lack of sleep kicking in)
Block 7&8 i got my strength together and i was able to finish the level of difficulty for this 2 block it was moderate to hard.
Now since i cant wait i tried the trick that we all try, applied for the exam and it let me, so i was fricking out, because it has been only 4 business days, how is that possible. however on OASIS there was no score report and it doesnt even have the date when i sat for the exam.
shocked, i decide to call ECFMG, and i asked them about the trick, and they said it allows you to reapply and it is not accurate, also they said it is not possible to get the results within 4 business days.
in the past my trick has worked,i do notknow what to beleive. please comment if you know anyhting about the trick and turn arround time.

hi,,u r done now,,relax and dont freak out,,u cant change anything....i dont think the trick works now,,,it works after 3 weeks....and by that time ur score will be available,,,so chill out buddy,,,,and RELAX

FA Q bank is qs book from first aid w/ one qs it is very good.

I don't think the Oasis trick works that fast. I took my exam on May 29th. I will give it about two or three weeks before I would start to panic.

hey gm,
i took 2ck on the same day as you, do you think we can expect results tomorrow? or is it too early?? all this waiting makes me go nuts

My understnding is at least 3 weeks before they release any results.
how was your test. Can you go to oasis and try to apply for Ck and let me know if it allows you to reapply or not.

i posted my exam experience somewhere in another thread.
don't they release the results the third wednesday after exam? that would be tomorrow for us.
i was told oasis trick doesn't work any longer so i didn't try it. did you?

yea i tried it on 6/1/08 and it let me apply, i was scared as hell, but i did call ECFMG on 6/2/08 and they told me that is not accurate. for this reason i wanted to know if it is going to let you reapply. can you try

yea i tried it yesterday and again today, it's 7.30 am in the morning here in europe and it lets me apply!!!
it must work though cause it does NOT let me apply for step1 which i sat 2 yrs ago.
what now???

Sorry Janka i think i opened the pandoras box and i am causing unecessary anxiety to you.
i called ecfmg this morning and they told me the trick does not longer work and that our results are still pending. so my friend, relax.

just talked to an ecfmg representative who told me it's 4-6 weeks, results by email, no point for us even thinking about it right now. so... let's try and think of something else.
maybe try read a book that has nothing to do with usmle prep. i can recommend 'night train to lisbon'
