The a wave in JVP coincides with S4 ...Right or wrong ?

  #2

i guess its right.a wave of JVP is a representation of atrial systole, and S4 is the "atrial kick".they both coincide.

  #3

yup.... ok what about the c wave? which heart sound should it be coinciding with ?

  #4

i would say S1..for C wave

  #5

Great !!!!!!!

  #6

sorry, a silly question. what is c wave?

  #7

C wave corresponds to the tricuspid valve 'bulging' back into the atria, slightly increasing the JVP, during valve closing/systolic contraction.
