Thorugh witch of the following mechanism are the products of alcohol metabolism contributing to the hypoglycemia?
1. inhib. formation of piruvan from alanine
2. inhib. of piruvan dehidorgenase
3. incr. reduction of piruvat to lactate
4. incr converison of piruvat to oxaloacetat
5. incr. formation of piruvat from acetyl CoA

Any help is appreciated.

its 3

alcohol metabolism gives you incresed NADPH and this will drive all your pyruvate to lactate and thats why you will have hypoglycemia cuz u need pyruvate to give you glucose in fasting state and here you dont have any pyruvate ...so fasting hypoglycemia

NADH, not NADPH! very different molecules
