Hello to you all. It is very late and I just wanted to write a few words for now. The Exam was very difficult, so study hard. It is true that you feel a bit confused about what your score will be, because you never know if your answers where correct. Anyways I'm just going to wait it out. Can some one tell me how long I should take to do the oasis Trick? Ok, here are some things on the exam that might help. It is hard to calm your nerves in the first block because your adrenaline is pumping. I don't think I did to good until the first few questions. I noticed more ObGyn questions and Pediatrics. Internal Medicine is heavy like always. Lots of Psych questions. They did'nt ask too much Surgery or Biostatistics. I probably remember like 1 questions about the calculation on Relative Risk, and like two questions about study designs. You have to try to keep up with time. What I did was divide the block in to 4 quarters. At 15 min I had to be passed question 13, at 30 min passed q 23, at 45 min passed q 34, and most of the time I was like about 5 minutes ahead of time. This would make me feel very calm in knowing that I didn't have to rush through questions. I did the first two blocks, and then I took a 5 minute break to eat a Yogurt and bathroom break. Then after the third block I took another 5 to minute break and probably ate a banana. I took a 10-15 minute break after four blocks to eat halve a sandwitch and a little bit of water. I hardly drank any water so I wont get the urge to go to the bathroom during the exam. Also I think you should go pee even if you don't feel like it for the same reason. For the last 4 block I made sure to take 5-10 min breaks to stretch and eat yogurt and I ate half of a power bar that I bought in GNC. For the last two blocks I drank a red bull and I think it really helps because you feel very tired at the end and it gave me a boost for the last two blocks. So my advice is not to eat heavy, don't drink water unless it is to put down food, and take go to the bathroom even if you don't have the urge. If you guys have any questions just fire away. If i think of anything else I'll post it tomorrow. Oh I almost forgot. -UW 60 % and I did only 80 % -Q Book 70% - Read Kaplan books and watched the Videos - FA

OK, my mind is a little bit clearer now. I read first Aid and highlighted important things and wrote a couple of notes on it but I didn't use it as a major source for study. I did read the Rapid Review and looked at the pictures in the last days before the test. I think the most important thing is to practice questions as much as you can. Especially Usmle World. I wish I had more time to finish it. I took notes from UW, but I didn't have time to go over them again. My CS test in in Three months so I didn't want t o push CK back. I think it's important to feel comfortable during the test and focusing. What frustrated me was the long questions. They really know how to distribute them so you wont see them all in one block but almost at the end of the test day when your brain is tired they can really mess with you. Usually they have a whole bunch of junk like Vital Signs the are normal or how they have family members with this or that disease. At the end of the question they give you labs and you have to see if anything is abnormal to answer the questions. One mistake that i did during the beginning of the test was with the Matching Questions. I didn't read the line that goes on top that tells you what you are supposed to look for when you read the question. So what I did was read the question and I had to figure out what they were trying to ask me about. I know that I wasted time doing it the hard way. UW doesn't prepare you for matching so be careful and read the top line of the matching questions so you will know what they are asking. About Videos: I only got like two of them. One at the end of the first and one at the end of the second block. Both of them were on heart beat and identifying a mumur. I don't remember what I put on the first one, but the second one was a lady and I noticed that she had JVD by looking at her carotid distention, and i thought of wide pulse pressure and I answered Aortic regurgitation. I hope I was right. About Pictures: I got like three EKG readings. I'm not good at that so I just answered the best that i could. I got acouple of chest X rays. One on MVA and another about a newborn with hypoplastic lungs or pneumothorax. They are testing more about Prevention measures, drugs that lower mortality rates, and everyone seems to be out of breath with DM and HTN. That all I can think of right now.

The DVD's that I used were the old ones that everybody has. I don't know what year they are from. I think it's probably 2004.
