Hi all,

I ususally do a quick review of kaplan notes in 2 hours and then start doing questions on that topic. Today so far i went through FA cases for step 2 CK and the FA Q & A for step 2 CK and MKSAP questions. I guess about 100 in total so far.

Will take a break and pick up Kaplan QB.

Pipi99: Ethics is important but i guess it would be smart to do IM 10 times and get those questions right than spend too much time on ethics because it is a guessing game no matter how well you knoe it. ALso i know that there is a ethics book by kaplan available, which a few friends have, it might be a good investment.
Yes, i have the flash cards and i like them. I go through them wheni am bored of studying and want to do a quick review.

Milee99: Yes, i did peds questions. I like peds so i enjoy doing anything and everything from it. Best way to remember developmental milestones is to think of any kids you know around you(your own or friends or neighbors) and observe things they do. It will be easy to identify the age and milestones then. It works for me because thats how i saw my kids grow so i didn't have to memorize that part.

Came home and started with left over 1 blockof respiratory fromKap QB. Completed the block. Plan for rest of today is to do explanations and then pick up Infectious Diseases. Still have about 30% QB left, including ID, cardio and OB, GYN.

Plan for rest of week is to complete Kaplan QB.

  #85

Good plan, stick to it

I am working on GynOb, not that hard as I expected...
Started with statistics today couldn't get anything....

But I will do it, second time, this weekend, third time next weekend...
I will keep doing statistics Saturday nights till the end of my preparation..I will give my two hours of beautiful sunny California nites EXCLUSIVELY and ONLY to statistics till the end of this 2008 year

but I will keep working on it, as those are easy points that I can not loose

Good luck people!!!!

Ecfmg99,

You are my hero, so focused and determined, I have a lot to learn from you I agree about IM, a friend of mine finished hiw IM residence in my country, came here, prepare the exam in 2 weeks, took the CK right away and got 99, just like that, I was like "What?"

Well, based on that I guess IM really pays off to study very well.
Doc, you are doing a great job, you should be really proud of yourself, just keep it up

Grazie.

Hi guys,

I guess it was my turn to take a break from studies yesterday. i really did not pick up my books yesterday after work. Anyways, trying to do MKSAP, did nosocomial infectin, HIV and Fever today . I think there were about 30 questions. I will do Infectious diseases tomorrow, first kaplan notes and then kaplan Q bank questions.

Usmle Gladiator: MKSAP is good, do it since you have time. I remember that your test is in december. Total of 408 questions in MKSAP and you will finish easily if you do them topic wise. explanations are not great but questions are good and since most US grads use it, i think we should to.

Grazie: I try my best because i am desperate to clear this exam by hook or crook. Please pray for me, i need all the prayers.

Done with ID questions . Will take a break for 2 hours and review FA q & a and FA cases for ID.
