can anyone tell me, which is to be considered as an abnormal bleeding???? bleeding after 6 months or 12 months after last menses in perimenopausal women???? thanks!!!!!!!!

I have no idea but if it bleeds after menopause CANCER till proven oother wise.

yeah, u r right.......... but when to call it as menopause, after 6 or 12 mths without bleeding,when no FSH level is given???? or if pt comes with bleeding after 8mths without menses...........perimenopausal bleeding or abnormal bleeding(i.e. cancer)??????

yea FSH will be increase and is the first test. Im just playing smart Im lost what is the answer

I think it is 3 month of no bleed and no drug therapy for menopause----after that any time is postmenopausal bleed provided no drugs being used

Well by definition, bleeding occuring with a delay of 6 weeks to 6 months is called Oligomenorrhea..So, menopause should be even longer than 6 months, which leaves us with the option of 9 months.
