To minize trauma.. sizes of needles are marked as: 3/8,3/4 etc indicating the the arc portion of the circle folowed by 14 mm, 16 mm etc which tells the radius of the circle of which they make a arc All needles are supposed to be sterile... no effect on minimising the infection Needle holder is chosen according to the needle all needles are disposible...no reuse...corrosion not a factor if used within expiry date Yes you need to minimise the trauma and thats the aim in selection of needles
