Pt. In mVA was brought to ER, you suspected cardiac tamponade what is next step?
a. pericardiocentesis
b. echo first..
C. CXR
d. CT

IF he is unstable (hypotension, tachycardia, etc...) then you need to treat FIRST... No time to assess by echo... do pericardiocentesis.

pericardiocentesis must be controlled under echo for both diagnosis and management, additionally it is still suspected. Echo is underwent very fast for pericardial effusion. Therefore, echo presents firstly.

Answer: depending on senario if pt is unstable proceed to Pericardiocentesis, If stable echo first
