Hi all mates,
God Willing, i will get my exam at 26th June, this means i have about less than 30 days from now and indeed i need ur advice and hints from ur experience.
about my preparation in the past, i have read kaplan notes twice( psychiatry once), read 30 % of FA, solve Kapaln qbook and some of pretest series, and did UW world from the offline mode( it is a PDF file containing UW questions from 2005) as teaching material.
in the coming days, i intend to share in UW website to take test modes and time modes and to answer the new questions, and to read FA but what i want to ask about,
1-is it must to re-read Kaplan notes, as it takes much time and i feel the i remember little from it?
2- what is the best stategy to use UW?

I`m nearly in the same boat ..My test date is coming after urs by some days;it is 8/July.
Me too finished kaplan+most of uw pdf...I intened to join uw online simultaneousely with revision from FA and Crush.
I think that it will be time wasting to read kaplan again;I`d prefer rereading from a less detailed book like FA(especially i have supplemented it with the missing points from uw).
As regards UW online,I`ll focus on timed mood to practise for the real exam.

thanks alot dr egyusmler,
but would u think it will be better to do everything apart or doing them in parallel ? ( meaning doing UW then FA ....etc? or studying FA with UW till end of my time?

My plan is to do both in the same time(UW+FA).

For uw, I did all the questions at once, to get rid of the ones I knew. The ones I got right but wasn't very sure about the answer, I marked. So I got rid of around 57%. Then I created new tests with the wrong and marked ones, tutor mode, and read all the answers. I had a notebook where I wrote only one line of information I thought was important. When I finished uw (with 66%), I read FA. When I finished FA (a few days before the test), I read my notebook.

thx arlete for ur advice.
as regards those notes u took from uw,are these the information not mentioned in FA?or u talk ab the educational objectives mentioned at the end of each explanation?

They are notes from every source I had: FA, live lectures, uw explanations, everything! I did one notebook for step 1, one for 2 CK and am doing one for step 3 now. It helped me a lot, they are one-lined reminders for myself.

No. But I am thinking about writing them down and maybe someone will teach me how I can share them with you. But that's going to happen only after June 19th, for sure.

by the way, have anybody hear about USMLE mock exams? are they useful to use or just waste of time?
