Dear all,
I am currently doing the questions from the big green and yellow book called "USMLE Step 3 - the best test preparation for the USMLE Step 3; 3 full length practice exams, bla-bla, by Research and Education Association" - I hope you know which one I am talking about. I was wondering, does anyone know if it is a good book to do or if I am wasting my time. I am getting scores in high 60s and lower 70s - does anyone knows how this compares with the actual exam?
I already did Kaplan Q bank. I am planning to do one month before my exam the UW questions and cases. However, I need to do more questions, since mcq-s are my somewhat weak spot and I need to improve my test taking skills. I really need a high score on Step 3, since I am not one of those 99 percentile geniuses on the previous steps.
Please, let me know if someone has experience with this book - how hard is it or how easy is it the content of the questions?

I guess, I and the friend from whom I got the book are the only two people who have done those questions. Anyway, my friend did pass her exam, so the book must have helped her. However this was 4 years ago, so I am not sure if I am doing the right thing for the current Step 3. Any comments would be greatly appreciated.

I would advise you not to use old books. If you have a new edition (not older than 2 years) then continue doing it. Otherwise the info you're getting might be wrong.
I would recommend UW!
