Guys, please teach me...

1 - How does one change "inhaled" ipratropium, for example, to metered dose inhaled, at the discharge time?

2 - How does one prescribe an antibiotic for ten days?

I can't find where to feed these informations.

Thanks.

Dear Arlete,

I did not figer out how either. I reviewed the explanantions for CCS on USMLE CD. It seems to me that the details like those would not really matter. Anyways, I would really appreciated it that if some experienced ones come up with better answers.

arlete, you have to write antibiotic continuous in the software. You cannot do 10 days.

But when you can always D/C any antibiotic or order by clicking it and it will say cancel and you cancel it,by saying yes,....

hope it helps...

practice makes you perfect....nod

also MDI IS not in software.

Please write Nebulized or inhaled albuterol or ipratropium...wink

I agree with zianab....u can however teach inhaler techniques, that option is there...but no duration for antibiotics, and its either nebulised or inhaled bronchodilators

Thank you very much, zianab and peace18. Apparently some steps are not tested, then.

I hope ccs is just like CS: feels overwhelming at the beggining, but confidence builds up with practice... nod

Hey, mytime, long time no see!

I'm in USA, as always, going for step 3 on the 18th and 19th. Afraid to be too confident, afraid to be afraid. grin

Just want to say bye-bye to USMLE (not to the forum!), and go back to the gym, take the kids swimming, do some CME and wait patiently for the interviews that hopefully will happen. nod
